UP: 17-year-old girl killed by brother, uncle over love marriage

In Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, 17-year-old Preeti was allegedly murdered by her brother and uncle after she married Abhishek Yadav against her family's wishes.
On November 16, they reportedly lured her to their maternal home and killed her in a school building.

What's happening now?

After the murder, Preeti's body was left near a railway track. Police found her body on Tuesday morning.
Her brother Arya Kumar Yadav was arrested on November 24 with the knife believed to be used in the murder, while uncle Ashok Yadav is still missing.
