UP Cabinet greenlights Rozgar Mission formation
Uttar Pradesh is set to launch the Rozgar Mission, aiming to open up more job opportunities for young people both in India and abroad.
With its own recruitment agency license, the state hopes to make it easier for youth to land overseas jobs without relying on middlemen.
Mission aims to help youth get jobs in various fields
The mission is targeting 25,000-30,000 international placements and about one lakh private sector jobs in India every year—especially in fields like nursing, skilled trades, driving, and domestic work.
There's also a big push to train young people (including with language skills) using a ₹200 crore fund.
Plus, by planning changes in labor laws so more women can work in factories—even hazardous ones—the state wants to boost women's participation and move closer to its $1 trillion economy goal.
