UP: Man dies, 4 family members trapped as house collapses

A heartbreaking accident in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, took place early Sunday morning when a kutcha (mud) house collapsed while the family was sleeping.
Hiralal Kuril, 55, lost his life, and four other family members were trapped under the debris before being rescued.

Condition of family members

Kuril's mother (75), two daughters (25 and 23), and son (18) all suffered serious injuries and were rushed to the district hospital.
Local police confirmed their condition.
The incident is a stark reminder of how unsafe kutcha houses—built from mud and straw—can be during harsh weather or other shocks, especially in rural areas where these homes are common.
