UP woman marries men, robs them post wedding

In Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, Rani Kumari was arrested for running a fake marriage scam with help from her husband, Ravi Ranjan Maurya, and her mother, Maya.
She allegedly married over a dozen men, only to rob them of cash and jewelry just hours after the ceremonies.

Police are now on the lookout for more people involved

The group specifically targeted unsuspecting men, leaving victims not just out of money but also with broken hearts and distraught families.
Police described it as a matrimonial fraud that has impacted many families.
Recent raids recovered stolen cash, jewelry, and even wedding outfits used in the scams.
Another member was caught near the UP-Jharkhand border with ₹90,000 and an SUV.
The investigation is still ongoing as police look for more people involved and try to reach other victims.
