Wife and lover arrested for husband's suicide

How the investigation unfolded
Prakash's mother filed a police complaint in January, accusing the pair of extorting money from her son. Investigators found that Chanchal and Rakesh were in an extramarital relationship and pressured Prakash—both emotionally and financially—into transferring his salary to Rakesh. Bank records backed up these claims, and the couple's conflicting statements during questioning sealed their arrest under charges of abetment to suicide, with extortion being part of the allegations.
