UP: Woman confined after being given 'triple talaq', dies
A case of dowry death has been registered against the husband and in-laws of a woman in UP's Bareilly who was given triple talaq over the phone and allegedly locked up for a month without food and water leading to her death. The deceased is survived by a six-year-old child. The victim's sister alleged that her brother-in-law used to beat her sister for dowry.

Last week, another woman from UP's Mahoba was reportedly given triple talaq and forced to leave her husband's house because the "chapati" she had prepared was burnt.
