In his address to supporters, Bharadwaj said that he has accepted defeat. However, he confessed that seeing his supporters getting emotional had touched him deeply. BJP dominates Delhi Assembly polls
Bharadwaj had represented the Greater Kailash seat since 2013 before being ousted by BJP's Roy. The BJP registered a landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly polls, winning 48 out of 70 seats. Meanwhile, the AAP's seat count fell to 22 from previous victories of 62 seats in 2020 and 67 seats in 2015. The Congress party also failed to win any seats for the third consecutive time.
