Pakistan may have released poisonous gas to pollute air: BJP-leader
  • Delhi/NCR and adjoining areas are choking, and governments should, of course, take immediate steps to provide relief to residents.

But what are our leaders doing? Blaming Pakistan, because why not!

In what tells tales about leaders' apathy, a BJP politician, Vineet Agarwal Sharda blamed Pakistan and China for "releasing" poisonous gas, which polluted the air. He claimed both countries are "frustrated".

    Here's more.

  • Since air pollution in a large number of northern cities is a raging topic these days, Sharda assumed it was fine if he commented on it, despite not having the slightest knowledge about the matter.

Dipping his bizarre logic in hyper-nationalism, he said, "There is a possibility that this poisonous gas could have been released by any neighboring country which is afraid of us."

  • Not stopping at that, Sharda said "we should seriously consider" Pakistan's tactics.

He then said India's bitter neighbor has been fuming since Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah took charge.

"Whenever Pakistan fought a war with India, it was defeated. Since Narendra Modi and Amit Shah came, Pakistan has become frustrated," the BJP leader from Uttar Pradesh said.

  • He also slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for blaming farmers and stubble burning for this crisis.

"People including Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal say pollution is caused by stubble burning or industrial emission. The farmer is the backbone of our country. Farmer and industries should not be blamed," he said.

With these comments, Sharda has proved that politicians only care about vote-bank.

India's "Krishna-Arjuna" will solve all problems, he claimed

  • Showing his allegiance for PM Modi and Shah, Sharda also referred to them as Lord Krishna and Arjuna, who are capable of solving all of India's problems.

But what the politician forgot is that empty talks, especially strange logic, will not solve the problem.

He might not blame farmers, but data proves Delhi/NCR is suffocating largely because of the burning of residual crops.

  • Do you know?

Amid politicians' nonsensical remarks, people are suffering

  • Delhi's Air Quality Index reached apocalyptic levels, prompting a Supreme Court-mandated panel to declare "public health emergency". Schools across the capital were shut for a few days. Though residents were treated with a clear sky today, the air quality remained in the "very poor" category.
