Bihar polls: Tejashwi slams PM Modi over state's lawlessness

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ignoring Bihar's law and order situation. The accusation comes after the arrest of Janata Dal (United)'s Anant Singh in connection with the murder of Jan Suraaj supporter Dular Chand Yadav in Mokama. "This was bound to happen after the events that unfolded," Yadav said, referring to recent crimes, including two murders in Ara and Rohtas.
Job criticism
'All criminals will be behind bars by January 26'
Singh has been referred to as a "gangster-politician" several times in the past by the media. Yadav also slammed PM Modi for not creating jobs in Bihar. He said, "He builds factories in Gujarat and wants victory in Bihar." The RJD leader claimed that the Mahagathbandhan will form the government on November 14 and all criminals would be behind bars by January 26, 2026.

Chirag Paswan hits back at Yadav
In response to Yadav's statements, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (RV) chief Chirag Paswan slammed him for his confidence in the Mahagathbandhan forming the next government. He called Yadav "arrogant" and added that "too much of arrogance is not good." Paswan also rejected Yadav's claim that the NDA supports criminals, saying they don't save or pardon criminals.

Bihar Assembly elections to be held in 2 phases
Bihar will hold its Assembly elections in two phases, with the first phase on November 6 and the second on November 11. The results for the 243 seats will be declared on November 14. Singh is the NDA candidate from Mokama, which goes to the polls in the first phase.
