What's the story
Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar on Thursday for a record 10th time after the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won the Assembly elections, securing 202 out of 243 seats. The new cabinet includes 14 leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), eight from Janata Dal (United), two from the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), and one each from the Hindustani Awam Morcha and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha.

BJP's representation in new cabinet
The BJP, which won the most seats, got the most representatives in the new NDA cabinet. The list includes Deputy chief ministers Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, and Mangal Pandey; Nitin Navin; Ramkripal Yadav; and Sanjay Singh 'Tiger.' New inductees are Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Narayan Prasad, Rama Nishad, Lakhendra Paswan, Shreyasi Singh, and Pramod Kumar Chandravanshi.

The Janata Dal (United) is represented by Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Shravan Kumar, Vijendra Yadav, Ashok Chaudhary, Leshi Singh, Jama Khan, and Madan Sahni. The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has Sanjay Kumar (Paswan) from Bakhri and Sanjay Singh from Mahua as its representatives. Hindustani Awam Morcha's Santosh Kumar Suman and Rashtriya Lok Morcha's Deepak Prakash are also part of the new cabinet.

New cabinet to be expanded after Makar Sankranti
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president JP Nadda, among other top leaders of NDA. Chief Ministers of several NDA-ruled states were also present at the event. According to India Today sources, the new Bihar cabinet will be expanded after Makar Sankranti next year in January.
