KaiOS-based Nokia 8810 4G feature phone to get WhatsApp support
Reliance Jio recently announced its new KaiOS-based smart feature phone JioPhone 2, which will support WhatsApp as the app gets native compatibility for KaiOS. Now, HMD Global has clearly hinted that its Nokia 8110 4G, which is also a KaiOS-based smart feature phone, will get WhatsApp as well. It's to be seen how WhatsApp's KaiOS version will differ from its Android and iOS versions.

Nokia 8110 4G is a bright yellow, slider feature phone
The Nokia 8110 4G is the reboot of the iconic Nokia 8110 "banana phone" which featured in "The Matrix." It is a slider handset in a bright yellow shade that is 4G-enabled. More about Nokia's smart feature phone
The entry-level phone, which was unveiled at the MWC 2018, already supports apps like Google Search and Google Maps and features a revamped "Snake" game. It is a part of Google's Android One initiative, with support for faster, secure and timely updates for at least two years. The dual-SIM phone is powered by a 1.1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and packs a 1,500mAh battery.
Competitive features
With this, HMD Global will directly compete with Reliance Jio in the feature phone market. While the JioPhone is already very popular in India with over 25 million subscribers, the Nokia 8810 4G has a nostalgia factor attached to it.
