Amazon Echo Dot: News
The Amazon Echo Dot is a small smart speaker that’s a part of Amazon’s Echo range. The Echo Dot is the smallest Echo speaker. Like its siblings, it supports user interaction via voice commands issued to the Amazon-developed artificial intelligence-powered voice assistant called Alexa. Alexa can be commanded by voice to play music, create to-do lists, set alarms and timers, stream podcasts, play audiobooks, and provide information about current affairs, weather, and traffic. Amazon unveiled the Echo Dot In March 2016. At the time it was a hockey-puck-sized device that supported all the commands a larger Echo speaker would support. As of August 2021, the latest iteration of the device called the 4th-generation Echo Dot sports a new spherical design and is claimed to be 30 percent smaller than its predecessors. This product is available in a variety of colors including black, blue, and white. The Echo Dot can function as an independent Alexa-enabled speaker, a Bluetooth speaker, and in sync with another connected speaker or headphone.
