Android's new tool to block bank app scams

Android is piloting a handy new feature in the US to help stop scammers from tricking people on banking apps.
If you open a banking app while talking to an unsaved number, your phone flashes a warning and gives you an instant "End call now" button—so you can shut things down before sharing anything risky.

How it works and what else is coming

This feature adds a 30-second pause, breaking the pressure scammers usually create.
It's already helped users dodge scams in the UK, and now it's rolling out with apps like Cash App and banks like JPMorganChase in the US.
Plus, Android is tightening other protections—like making it harder to turn off Google Play Protect or do risky stuff during calls—to keep your money safer all around.
