ASUS ROG Phone 5s series launched at Rs. 50,000
ASUS has launched its ROG Phone 5s series of smartphones in India at a starting price of Rs. 49,999. The line-up includes the vanilla ROG 5s and ROG 5s Pro models. They were announced globally in August 2021. As for the key highlights, the flagship gaming handsets come with a 144Hz AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 888+ 5G chip, and a 6,000mAh battery.

The ASUS ROG Phone 5s and 5s Pro feature a conventional rectangular display with noticeable top and bottom bezels, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The rear panel is fitted with a triple camera unit. The devices bear a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2448 pixels) E4 AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. They come in Phantom Black and Storm White colors.
The ASUS ROG Phone 5s series sports a triple rear camera module comprising a 64MP (f/1.8) main camera, a 13MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP (f/2.0) macro shooter. Up front, they have a 24MP (f/2.5) snapper for selfies and video calls.
The ASUS ROG Phone 5s line-up is fueled by a Snapdragon 888+ 5G chipset, coupled with up to 18GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Under the hood, the duo boots Android 11-based ROG UI and packs a 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the phones offers support for Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, NFC, and a Type-C port.
In India, the ASUS ROG Phone 5s costs Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB/128GB model and Rs. 57,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant. The Pro model costs Rs. 79,999 for the solo 18GB/512GB configuration. The handsets will be up for grabs via Flipkart from February 18 onward.
