BenQ's new portable projector can beam movies on your ceiling

Technology

BenQ just dropped the GV32, a portable smart projector designed for easy ceiling viewing—think cozy movie nights from bed.
Running Google TV and streaming over dual-band Wi-Fi, it delivers crisp 1080p visuals at 500 ANSI lumens, plus punchy sound with its built-in 18W speakers.

It requires a USB-C power bank to work

At $599, the GV32 comes bundled with a carry bag and a 100-inch portable screen for launch buyers.
Its flexible base rotates 360° and tilts up to 135°, so you can project from almost any angle.
Setup is simple with autofocus, keystone correction, and digital zoom.
While there's no built-in battery, you can power it up via a USB-C power bank for true portability.

GV32 upgrades the earlier GV30 model

The GV32 supports HDR10 and covers 95% of Rec.709 colors—so movies look vibrant even in dark rooms.
It upgrades the earlier GV30 (released in 2021) by boosting resolution from 720p to full HD and brightness from 300 to 500 lumens, all while staying compact for on-the-go entertainment.
