Chennai's public transport just got a lot friendlier for your wallet.
With the new "One Rupee Ticket" campaign on the Chennai One app, you can book bus, metro, and suburban train tickets for just ₹1 each—just pay through BHIM or Navi UPI.
The catch? You get one discounted ticket per registered account during the campaign, but there are surprise cashbacks waiting for you on future trips too.

Ticketing app has already seen over 8 lakh journeys

The app is getting a ton of love for making travel super easy—think QR codes that work across busses, metros, and suburban rail.
Over 5.5 lakh users have already jumped in and booked 8.1 lakh tickets in just a month!
It's all part of CUMTA's push to make cashless commuting the new normal and get more folks using public transport in Chennai.
