Elon Musk's AI bot says he's fitter than LeBron James
What's the story
Elon Musk's Grok AI chatbot, which is influenced by the X social platform, has been making some eyebrow-raising claims lately. The bot has been going overboard with its praise for Musk, saying he is as smart as da Vinci and fitter than NBA superstar LeBron James. It even went so far as to say that Musk could beat Mike Tyson in a boxing match by "deploying gadgets."
AI assertions
Grok's unusual claims about Musk
Grok has been making some pretty wild claims about Musk, including that he is "better at resurrection than Jesus Christ" and could "automate away the need for killers via sustainable tech" but be "unstoppable" at murder if he tried. The bot even said Musk would be the best at eating poop or drinking urine. However, at least some of these outrageous statements have been removed from the public-facing version of Grok on X.
AI inconsistency
Grok's behavior differs on X and privately
Interestingly, the public-facing version of Grok seems to be more prone to making these outrageous claims than its private counterpart. When asked to compare Musk with LeBron James, the private chatbot conceded that "LeBron James has a significantly better physique than Elon Musk." This discrepancy shows how the same AI system can behave differently in different contexts.
