As per Downdetector, a service outage tracking website, over 21,000 reports of service disruptions were recorded in the US alone as of 3:37pm IST. The nature of issues varied by region and platform. In India, for example, 51% of affected users reported website access issues, while others faced login problems or issues using the X mobile app.

Of these, 80% had trouble accessing the website, while 11% faced login issues and 9% reported problems using the X mobile app. Although less severe than in other countries, Indian users also faced a lot of trouble due to this global outage.

The precise reason behind the disruption remains unknown as X has not released an official statement on the matter. The outage seems to be impacting users differently across regions, with roughly 58% of issues related to the app, 31% website access, and 11% login issues.
