Google and OpenAI tighten free AI tool limits

Google and OpenAI are dialing back how much you can use their popular free AI tools.
Now, OpenAI's Sora video model lets you make just six videos per day for free, while Google's Nano Banana Pro has dropped its daily free image limit from three to two.
Both companies say these changes are to handle the huge spike in demand and keep things running smoothly.

Why the sudden limits?

Google has also put new daily caps on its Gemini 3 Pro suite for free users—now only "Basic access," with limits that can change often.
The goal is to make sure more people get a chance to try these tools, but paid subscribers still get priority.
It looks like this could be the new normal as companies juggle growing demand with limited tech resources.
