Google Chrome users face high security risk
India's cyber security agency, CERT-In, has flagged some serious security holes in Google Chrome for Windows, Mac, and Linux (if you're not on version 137.0.7151.119/.120 or newer).
These bugs could let hackers crash your browser or even take control of your system—definitely not something you want to risk.
How these vulnerabilities can be exploited
The vulnerabilities are tied to issues in Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine and some other tools inside the browser.
Hackers might trick you into visiting a sketchy website, which could lead to data theft or a full-on system takeover.
How to update Google Chrome
CERT-In's advice is simple: update Chrome right away.
Just head to 'Help' > 'About Google Chrome' in your menu—Chrome will grab the latest version and keep you protected after a quick restart.
It only takes a minute and helps keep your info safe.
