Google Home can now answer real-time questions about your home
Google Home's new "Live Search" lets you ask real-time questions about what's happening at home, thanks to AI that quickly scans your Nest Cam feeds.
It's a big step up from the old system, which only looked through past footage: now you can actually find out if your dog is on the couch or if someone's at the door right now.
How to use the new feature
Using the latest Google Home app, just type your question in the "Ask Home" bar—like "Where are the dogs right now?" or "Is there anyone outside my house?"
The AI quickly figures it out by scanning all your camera feeds.
It's especially handy if you have multiple cameras and want quick answers about both current and recent events (though spotting things like whether appliances are on still depends on where your cameras are placed).
