Google Maps just dropped a major update for India—now powered by Gemini AI, you can chat with the app hands-free to get directions, find the nearest petrol pump, or even add events from Gmail.
It's rolling out on both Android and iOS, making everyday navigation a lot more interactive and easy.

Real-time traffic alerts, road conditions, and nearby amenities

You'll now get real-time traffic alerts in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, plus warnings about accident-prone spots in places such as Gurugram and Hyderabad.
Speed limits are shown across nine cities for safer drives.
The AI also pulls up local tips—like where to grab the best street food—and gives live updates on road conditions and nearby amenities thanks to a tie-up with NHAI.
