Google tightens free access to Gemini and Nano Banana Pro
Technology
Google is cutting back on how much you can use its popular AI tools for free.
Now, if you're on the free plan, you can only make two images a day with Nano Banana Pro (down from three), and the prompt limits may change and could be reduced with Gemini 3 Pro.
Google explains that these changes are just to keep things running smoothly as more people jump in.

NotebookLM features also getting capped
NotebookLM, Google's tool for making infographics and slide decks, is feeling the pressure too.
Free users can't access those visual features at the moment, and even Pro users have some new limits while Google tries to keep up with demand.
