    Honor 20s and Play 3, with triple rear cameras, launched

    Expanding its portfolio of smartphones, Huawei's sub-brand Honor has launched the all-new 20s and Play 3 smartphones in China. The Honor 20s will be up for grabs starting tonight, while the Honor Play is set to go on sale from September 17. As for key highlights, both handsets feature a punch-hole design, all-glass body, triple rear cameras, and mid-level internals. Here's our roundup.

    Honor 20s and Honor Play 3: At a glance

    Up front, Honor 20s and Play 3 sport an edge-to-edge look with a small display cut-out at the top-left corner and an ultra-slim bottom bezel. On the rear, both smartphones house vertically stacked triple cameras and an LED flash. For secure unlocking, the Honor 20s gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, while the Play 3 has to rely on passwords, patterns, and face-unlock.

    What about display?

    The Honor 20s comes with a 6.26-inch LCD display with a full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. On the other hand, the Honor Play 3 sports a bigger 6.39-inch display with an HD+ (720x1560 pixels) resolution.

    For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

    In the imaging department, both Honor 20s and Play 3 pack triple rear cameras comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, a secondary 8MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Up front, the Honor 20s sports a 32MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper, while the Honor Play 3 houses an 8MP (f/2.0) shooter.

    Under the hood

    The Honor 20s is powered by a Kirin 810 octa-core processor, paired with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Honor Play 3 is fueled by a Kirin 710 chipset, coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal memory. The Honor 20s is backed by a 3,750mAh battery, while the Honor Play 3 packs a more powerful 4,000mAh battery.

    Connectivity options and sensor details

    The Honor 20s and Honor Play 3 offer all the latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port (micro-USB on Play 3). Further, the Play 3 gets a 3.5mm headphone jack, while the 20s lacks one.

    And, what about pricing?

    As for the pocket pinch, Honor 20s costs CNY 1,899 (approximately Rs. 19,000) for 6GB/128GB variant and CNY 2,199 (approximately Rs. 22,000) for the 8GB/128GB model. On the other hand, the Honor Play 3 costs CNY 999 (approximately Rs. 10,000) for the 4GB/64GB model and CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 13,000) for both the 4GB/128GB and 6GB/64GB variants.
