Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla embarks on Axion-4 mission

On June 25, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla became the first Indian astronaut to reach the International Space Station, flying aboard SpaceX's Crew Dragon as part of Axiom Mission 4.
This launch is a big moment for India, marking its return to human spaceflight after 41 years.

TL;DR

Research projects include those designed by ISRO

Shukla joins an international team—commander Peggy Whitson (USA), and specialists from Poland and Hungary—for a two-week stay on the ISS.
They'll run science experiments, try out new tech (including upgraded spacesuits), and even conduct projects designed by ISRO.
The crew is set to dock on June 26 and will be busy with research ranging from muscle regeneration to how electronics behave in microgravity.
