Intel loses AI chief Sachin Katti to OpenAI

Sachin Katti, Intel's Chief Technology and Artificial Intelligence Officer, is leaving the company to join OpenAI. He will be working on developing the compute infrastructure for artificial general intelligence (AGI) at the ChatGPT maker. The news was confirmed by an Intel spokesperson who said that CEO Lip-Bu Tan will now lead the AI and Advanced Technologies groups previously led by Katti.
