Last chance to use Fitbit with your old account
Fitbit fans, you've got until May 19, 2026, to move your account over to Google—so no need to rush just yet.
After that, you can no longer access Fitbit with your Fitbit account; you'll need to move your Fitbit account to a Google Account to continue using your account.
This is the second time Google has pushed back the deadline since buying Fitbit in 2021.
What happens to your data?
You can download or delete all your health stats—like steps, sleep, and workouts—up until July 15, 2026.
If you don't migrate by then, Google will permanently erase any leftover data from old Fitbit accounts.
Good news: moving your account won't wipe anything out.
How to migrate your account
Just open the Fitbit app, head to Settings, and tap "Move account."
Follow the prompts to link up with your Google account—it only takes a few minutes.
You can double-check or edit details before finishing up or even cancel if you change your mind mid-process.
