- The Indian market has been seeing an increase in the number of budget-range handset launches. Along with that, consumer behavior indicates that buyers prefer e-commerce sites over traditional retail stores these days.
- Lava has taken both of these points into consideration with its online-only smartphone, the X2. Keeping up with the trends, the company has tried to include some attractive features in the phone.
The Lava X2 features a waterdrop notch design with a prominent bottom bezel, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for biometric authentication. On the rear, it sports a vertical camera unit. The handset bears a 6.5-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) IPS LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9. It is offered in Blue and Cyan color options.
The Lava X2 is equipped with a dual rear camera setup, comprising an 8MP main shooter and an AI sensor. Up front, it sports a 5MP snapper for selfies and video calls.
The Lava X2 is powered by an unspecified octa-core MediaTek Helio processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it boots Android 11 (Go edition) and packs a 5,000mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the handset offers support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm audio jack, 4G, and a Type-C port.
The Lava X2 is priced at Rs. 6,999 for the sole 2GB/32GB model. It is available for pre-bookings via Amazon India till March 11 at a discounted price of Rs. 6,599. The phone will be up for grabs from March 12.
