Leaked renders reveal Meta's next-gen Ray-Ban 'Hypernova' glasses
Meta is teaming up with Ray-Ban to launch its next-gen smart glasses, Hypernova, by late 2025.
These glasses will show apps and notifications on a display located in the lower right corner of the right lens—so you can stay connected without blocking your view.
Powered by Qualcomm tech and a custom Android OS, they're expected to cost between $1,000 and $1,400.
How to control the Hypernova glasses?
Hypernova comes with Meta's Ceres wristband that lets you control things with simple hand gestures like pinch-to-zoom or twisting your wrist—no need for voice or touch.
You'll get support for Android apps and some AI features (but don't expect a full app store just yet).
Competing products from other brands
With gesture controls and an integrated display, Hypernova gives Meta a solid shot in the AR glasses game.
But rivals like Samsung are working on similar tech too, so 2025 could be an exciting year if you're into wearable gadgets.
