NVIDIA pushes GeForce Now India launch to 2026

Technology

NVIDIA's cloud gaming service, GeForce Now, is now set to arrive in India in early 2026 instead of this November.
The delay comes as NVIDIA works on local servers to ensure smoother, low-lag gameplay, which is essential for delivering the intended performance levels.

What's coming: Tiers and features

GeForce Now India will run on RTX 5080 hardware and offer three tiers: a free ad-supported plan, Performance (1440p/60 FPS), and Ultimate (4K/240 FPS).
You'll be able to stream games you already own from platforms like Steam or Epic Games Store.
Global paid plans cost $9-$19/month, but Indian pricing isn't out yet.

Why the wait?

NVIDIA says setting up local servers is key for reducing lag and making gameplay more responsive.
Unlike some rivals, GeForce Now lets you play your own game library instead of locking you into a subscription catalog—a feature that distinguishes it from other services.

How does it stack up?

NVIDIA's move comes as Microsoft has already launched Xbox Cloud Gaming in India at ₹1,639/month with a subscription model.
By focusing on local infrastructure first, NVIDIA hopes to deliver a smoother experience and ensure consistent quality.
