OpenAI gives all ChatGPT users unlimited text chats next week
Big news from OpenAI: everyone using ChatGPT (even on the Free plan) will gain access to unlimited text chats next week.
The update brings in the new GPT-5.6 Luna model for Free and Go users, plus a handy "Think" button to help with tough questions next week.
Just a heads up, limits on files, images, voice, and image generation are still around.
Plus and Pro get GPT-5.6 sol
If you're on Plus or Pro, you get the upgraded GPT-5.6 Sol model, which is better for quick tasks such as questions, web research, advice, planning, writing, and making decisions.
There's also a new "thinking slider" so you can choose how deeply the AI reasons through your question.
According to OpenAI, these upgrades cut factual errors by more than 60%.
All this comes as ChatGPT celebrates hitting 1 billion weekly users.
