What's the story

OPPO will unveil its latest innovation, the Find N5, on February 20. The global launch event will be held in Singapore at 7pm (4:30pm IST). The new device is being touted as the world's thinnest foldable phone. A teaser video released by the company shows a sleek and slim design, with Google's Gemini likely powering the device's AI features.

Design details

OPPO Find N5: At a glance

The OPPO Find N5 is rumored to be super slim, coming in at less than 4mm when unfolded. This makes it slimmer than the iPad Pro M4 (2024) which is 5.1mm thick, and even an iPhone. The company has emphasized that its thinness is similar to a USB-C port. Despite being ultra-thin, the foldable phone is said to pack a powerful 5,900mAh battery.

Charging capabilities

Find N5 to support 50W fast wireless charging

The OPPO Find N5 will bring wireless charging to the OnePlus Open series, supporting 50W fast wireless charging. This feature is way ahead of competitors such as Galaxy Z Fold6 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which provide maximum speeds of 15W and 7.5W for wireless charging, respectively. The device will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon Elite chip.

Camera and durability

OPPO Find N5 to feature advanced camera and durability ratings

The Find N5 is said to come with a major camera upgrade with a telephoto macro feature, something we don't see in other foldable flagships. The rear camera setup will probably flaunt a triple 50MP array, while the front cameras will stick to 32MP and 20MP. The device will also offer IPX9 rating, making it the first foldable phone to withstand high-pressure water jets.

Color and frame

OPPO Find N5 to offer a titanium frame

The OPPO Find N5 will be offered in Jade White, Satin Black, and Twilight Purple color options. However, the teaser for the smartphone's global launch event on YouTube does not show the purple variant. The device will also sport a titanium frame, making it lighter without compromising on durability.
