The highlights of the phone include its all-screen design, pop-up selfie camera, quad rear cameras, and mid-level internals.
The OPPO Reno 2 will feature an edge-to-edge notch-less look achieved by adopting a pop-up module for the selfie camera- same as OPPO Reno. On the rear, the glass panel will house vertically stacked quad cameras and an LED flash. The handset will sport a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
The OPPO Reno 2 will house quad-lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.7) main sensor, 13MP (f/3.0) telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera will support 20x digital zoom and come with photography features like ultra-dark mode and ultra-steady mode. Up front, it will sport a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie shooter.
The OPPO Reno 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Under the hood, it will run Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 and pack a 4,000mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 (20W) fast-charging. Moreover, the handset will come with Game Boost 3.0 and Game Assistant features for a stellar gaming experience.
The OPPO Reno 2 will get all the latest connectivity options such as dual-SIMs (Nano), VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port. Lastly, it will pack all standard sensors such as accelerometer, proximity, gyroscope, and e-compass.
Going by the specs, the OPPO Reno 2 will arrive at a price of around Rs. 30,000 in India. However, official details will be revealed during the launch event on August 28. Once launched, it will lock horns with rivals such as Redmi K20 series, ASUS 6Z, and OnePlus 7.
