OPPO is reportedly working on a new Reno series smartphone, called the Reno7 Z. In the latest development, tipster @TheLeaks3 on Twitter has leaked the renders of the handset, revealing its design details. As per the images, the Reno7 Z will have a punch-hole design, a triple rear camera unit, and a flat frame similar to the iPhone 12/13 models.
Why does this story matter?
OPPO is working to expand its Reno7 series of smartphones with the new Reno7 Z. The handset is expected to debut in India in the coming weeks and will join the Reno7 and Reno7 Pro models that were announced here earlier this month. The Reno7 Z will be priced around Rs. 20,000 and will take on rivals from brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, and Samsung.
The handset will have a punch-hole design
The OPPO Reno7 Z will feature a left-aligned punch-hole cut-out with rounded corners and slim bezels. The rear will be fitted with a triple camera module. It may bear a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ LCD or AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Based on the leaked renders, the handset will be offered in at least two color options.
A 32MP main camera is expected
The OPPO Reno7 Z will likely sport a triple rear camera module comprising a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP tertiary lens. Up front, the handset may have a 32MP selfie camera.
It should boot Android 12
The OPPO Reno7 Z is expected to draw power from a Snapdragon 480+ chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It should boot Android 12 with ColorOS skin on top and pack a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the handset should offer support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a Type-C port.
