What's the story

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, aka PUBG, is getting a massive discount on Microsoft's Xbox Store. The deal brings a significant reduction in the official price of the famous battle royale game, but is available only for Xbox users. Plus, it is a limited period offer, which means you will have to make the purchase as soon as possible. Here are the details.

Deal

Get PUBG at just Rs. 650

Under the latest offer, PUBG is available for purchase at a discount of 50% on the Xbox Store. Essentially the title, which typically retails at Rs. 1,300, can now be purchased at just Rs. 650. The deal is valid only till April 13, hence you have about 6 days to take advantage of the offer and grab the title for your Xbox.

Game pass

You can also go for the discounted Xbox Game Pass

If you are not sure about buying the full game, there is the option of going for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This subscription service, currently available at Rs. 50 for the first month and Rs. 699/month post that, provides free access to 100+ high-quality PC and Xbox games, including PUBG. It's ideal if you want to try the game without spending a hefty sum.

Updates

PUBG for Xbox recently received some big updates

The discount on PUBG comes soon after the release of version 6.3 of the title for consoles, one that introduces Panzerfaust - a powerful AoE (Area of Effect) weapon. Panzerfaust is impactful, but it is worth noting that picking up this weapon takes up your primary weapon slot, and the target can, in fact, dodge it in some cases.

Other games

Other popular games also available on discount

In addition to PUBG, you can also get tempting deals on other Xbox Games, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, DayZ, Call of Duty: WWII, Red Dead Redemption 2, Far Cry 5, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Assassin's Creed: Origins. For PC users, Microsoft is offering a discount on titles like Quantum Break, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Cuphead, and more.
