Realme X India variant coming soon: Everything to know

What's the story

Chinese tech-giant Realme has recently launched Realme X in China. Soon after its launch in China, Realme India's CEO Madhav Sheth took to Twitter to reveal that the smartphone will also be launched in India. However, the specifications of the phone will be different from its Chinese variant. To recall, Realme X is company's first smartphone to house a pop-up selfie camera. Here's more.

Let's have a look at the Realme X

The Realme X features a notch-less all-screen design achieved by adopting a pop-up module for the selfie camera. Also, the phone comes with a glass back along with gradient finish and offers Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone sports a 6.53-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Lastly, it is available in Steam White and Punk Blue colors.

Realme X: Camera Specs

As far as the camera is concerned, the Realme X houses a dual camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.7) main camera along with a 5MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Further, the phone packs a 16MP (f/2.0) front-facing camera packed in a pop-up module. Moreover, the main camera is capable of recording 2160p videos at 30fps while the selfie camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

Realme X is powered by Snapdragon 710 processor, paired with upto 8GB RAM and upto 128GB storage. However, the Indian variant is rumored to feature Snapdragon 855 chipset. It packs a 3,700mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 (20W) fast-charging support. The smartphone offers all the standard sensors and connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port.

And, what will be the pocket pinch?

In China, the Realme X starts at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 15,300), and the top-model comes for CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 18,300). However, going by Sheth's tweet, the phone is expected to arrive at a price of around Rs. 18,000 in India.
