Samsung's HDR10+ Advanced promises brighter, better visuals on future TVs
Samsung just announced HDR10+ Advanced, a next-gen display tech set for its 2026 premium TVs.
It uses AI to boost picture quality, hitting super-bright levels up to 5,000 nits and showing off every color in the BT.2020 spectrum—perfect for their new Mini-LED and Micro RGB screens.
HDR10+ Advanced will be available on existing devices via update
This upgrade brings smart features like HDR10+ Bright (AI-powered brightness and color), HDR10+ Genre (auto-adjusts visuals based on what you're watching), and HDR10+ Intelligent Gaming (tweaks brightness depending on your room).
Amazon Prime Video is already on board, with other platforms that could extend support once the new metadata layers are integrated.
Samsung says you'll see these TVs by mid-2026, with a big reveal at CES—and if you've got an existing HDR10+ device, you can upgrade via a simple firmware update.
