Samsung's trifold phone design leaked in One UI 8 update
Samsung's next big foldable, likely called the "Galaxy G Fold," just got accidentally revealed through a software update.
The leaked animations show off a phone with three panels, two hinges, and a chunky triple camera on the back.
When it's folded up, the middle panel works as a cover screen with its own selfie camera—pretty handy for quick snaps.
The source article also mentions that the device is labeled as the "Multifold 7" in the One UI 8 animation files.
Galaxy G Fold's unique folding mechanism
Unlike other foldables, this one folds in a unique way: left panel goes in first, then the right folds over—just don't try folding the right side first or you'll hit the camera bump.
It's not like Huawei's Z-shaped fold; Samsung's design keeps things covered and protected when closed.
