Taurids meteor shower is lighting up November skies: How to watch
Technology
The Taurids Meteor Shower is lighting up November skies, with both Southern and Northern streams sending bright fireballs our way.
This year's "swarm year" means more big, slow-moving meteors—some the size of baseballs—making the show extra special.
What time and where to see the meteors
For the best view, head outside around midnight and face south, aiming for a spot away from city lights.
The Southern Taurids peaked November 4-5 but stick around until November 20; the Northern Taurids peak November 11-12 and run through December 10.
Even with some moonlight, you could spot about two meteors per hour—and if you're lucky, a few super-bright fireballs blazing across the sky.
