Virat Kohli became the most successful Test captain of India. This was his 28th Test win as skipper. Kohli went past MS Dhoni's tally of 27. The 30-year-old scored 76 runs in the first innings. Mohammed Shami went past 150 wickets in Test cricket (151). He became the 15th Indian bowler to go past this figure. Ishant Sharma surpassed Kapil Dev to become the most successful Indian pacer outside Asia. Kapil had 155 scalps in 45 Tests. Ishant, who was tied with Kapil, now has 158 wickets outside Asia. He also raced to 278 career Test scalps.
Bumrah third Indian to claim a Test hat-trick
Jasprit Bumrah took 6/27 in the first innings. This was his best figures in an innings. Bumrah created history by becoming the third Indian to claim a hat-trick in Test cricket after Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan. He became the second Asian after Nuwan Zoysa to claim a Test hat-trick outside Asia. He became the third bowler to claim a Test hat-trick in Windies.

Ajinkya Rahane scored an unbeaten 64 in the second innings. This was his 19th career Test fifty. Mayank Agarwal slammed his third career Test fifty.
