Watch: Arjun Tendulkar produces magical delivery to dismiss Surrey batsman

Arjun Tendulkar has made rapid strides on the cricket field in the last couple of years. The left-arm bowling all-rounder is touted to be the next big thing in Indian cricket. And recently, Arjun grabbed eyeballs once again for bowling a peach of a delivery against a 2nd XI Surrey side in England. Here's more on the same.

    All about Arjun's magical delivery

Arjun is currently representing the MCC Young Cricketers against Surrey Second XI in the Second XI Championship. He dismissed opener Nathan Tilley with a brilliant delivery on the first ball of his third over. The delivery was angled across from over the wicket and it swung back in to hit the top of the off-stump. The batsman saw the ball breaching his defense.

This was a real beauty from Arjun!

Surrey ride on through Sam Curran as Arjun does well

Surrey rode on English all-rounder Sam Curran's 91 off 140 balls knock, which was laced with 15 fours. He was well-supported by 18-year-old Jamie Smith who went on to score an unbeaten hundred. Surrey ended the day on 340/6. Arjun also picked up the wicket of BBA Geddes to finish with figures of 2/50. He bowled two maidens at an economy of 4.55.

Arjun has been impressive since a while now

Arjun impressed in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy in 2018, bagging figures of 5/30 to help Mumbai beat Gujarat by nine wickets. He was also terrific for Vijay Merchant XI against Vijay Manjrekar XI in the KC Mahindra Shield U-19 tournament, finishing with 6/70. The promising youngster had picked up 19 wickets in five matches in the 2017-18 Cooch Behar Trophy as well.

Arjun has a promising future ahead: Our take

The 19-year-old recently impressed for the Aakash Tigers in the Mumbai T20 League. He is shaping up well and the exposure to play in different conditions will be helpful. The youngster's target will be to keep putting in the shifts. With youngsters such as Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw getting chances at the top level, one hopes that Arjun will get a call-up soon.
