What's the story

Dashing Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has joined an elite group of big hitters by hammering his 100th six in T20 internationals. He achieved this milestone during the first T20I against South Africa at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. The 32-year-old hammered a 28-ball 59* with the help of four sixes as India posted 175/6 and later won by 101 runs. On this note, we list down the Indian batters with a century of sixes in T20Is.

#4

Hardik Pandya - 100 sixes

With this fourth and final maximum in the aforementioned game, Pandya completed 100 sixes in T20I cricket. Having played 121 T20Is so far, the all-rounder has raced to 1,919 runs at an average of 28.22. His strike rate is also impressive (142.46). The one in Cuttack was Pandya's sixth half-century. Notably, he also boasts 99 T20I wickets as well.

#3

Virat Kohli - 124 sixes

At number three, we have the talismanic Virat Kohli, who smashed 124 T20I sixes before bidding farewell to the format after the T20 World Cup last year. Kohli bowed out with 4,188 runs from 125 T20Is at a remarkable average of 48.69. His tally includes a ton, 38 half-centuries, and a fine strike rate of 137.04. Notably, he was the first batter to touch the 4,000-run mark in the format.

#2

Suryakumar Yadav - 155 sixes

Earlier this year, India's current T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav became just the second batter from his country to complete 150 T20I sixes. SKY currently boasts 2,766 at an average of 36.39 across 96 T20Is. His strike rate of 164.05 is also stunning. This includes 21 fifties and four tons. His best score is 117. He is also the only player to have scored T20I centuries in four different nations - South Africa, England, New Zealand, and India.

#1

Rohit Sharma - 205 sixes

Indian opener Rohit Sharma is the only player in T20I history to have hit more than 200 sixes. He achieved the feat during the 2024 T20 World Cup and announced his T20I retirement right after the tournament concluded. His career tally reads an impressive 205 sixes in just 159 matches. Rohit signed off with 4,231 T20I runs at 32.05. His strike-rate was an impressive 140.89 as he registered 37 50-plus scores, including five centuries.
