What's the story

Manchester United midfielder Carlos Baleba is set to be out of action for a few weeks due to a hamstring injury. The player was substituted in the second half of United's 3-2 Champions League victory over AS Roma on Tuesday. He will miss all remaining matches this month, including those against Liverpool and Sporting Lisbon away from home. Here's more.

Injury update

Carrick provides update on Baleba

United head coach Michael Carrick has confirmed that Baleba's absence will last for "a number of weeks."

"Carlos, we don't know exactly, but it will be a number of weeks. It won't be any time over the international break. It will be a little bit longer than that," said Carrick to reporters ahead of United's weekend Premier League clash against Aston Villa.

This means Baleba is likely to miss several key matches even after the international break.

Team adjustments

Tielemans could return to starting XI; Dorgu starts training

With Baleba sidelined, Youri Tielemans could make a return to the starting XI after being benched in recent games against Chelsea and Roma.

Patrick Dorgu, who resumed training on Monday but wasn't included in the matchday squad against Roma, could also be named as a substitute against Aston Villa.

Carrick said of Dorgu's situation: "Patrick's has done a little bit of training this week, very small. We have to be patient with Pat, he's had a period of time now with a couple of hamstrings where we need to be patient with that."
