One of South Africa's brightest talents in domestic cricket, Colin Ingram's international career is more of a "what could have been?" Hailing from Eastern Province in South Africa, the southpaw made a name for himself with his strokeplay. Making his first-class debut at the age of 19 in the 2004-05 season, Ingram's breakthrough season came in 2009-10. Impressive performances in first-class, List A, and the Champions League saw him wearing the national colors. In 2010, Ingram made both his T20I and ODI debuts. He scored a century on his ODI debut and had two centuries in his first five ODI matches. However, the initial bang slowly died down. He batted in every position from one to seven, and this affected his ability to get going. His international career more or less ended by 2013. Ingram signed a Kolpak deal in 2014 with Glamorgan. This deal changed Ingram's trajectory as he became a vital part of the Glamorgan side in all formats of the game. Although he suffered an injury in 2016, he came back as an even better player. A reluctant bowler at first, Ingram has improved his leg-spin as well.
