CSK vs DC: How to pick the winning Dream11?

Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals take on each other in match number 50 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019. Both sides have qualified for the playoffs this season and occupy the first two places in the standings. Fans, who are playing the Dream11, will need to get a winning team. Here we decode the same.

Dhawan leads a powerful batting line-up

Shikhar Dhawan is in prime form with the bat and he gets the nod as the skipper of this side. The southpaw is joined by the experienced Faf du Plessis upfront. Shreyas Iyer and wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni come in next to add more steel. There is the presence of Shane Watson as well. Overall, the batting unit looks sorted.

An experienced all-round department on offer

We have opted for a three-man all-round department. Ravindra Jadeja is selected as the vice-captain of this side. His influence on a slow track could be massive. Dwayne Bravo fits in alongside Jaddu. Bravo will be wanting to get back to the groove and make an impact. DC's Axar Patel fills in as the third all-rounder. He has been playing well this season.

Here's a look at the bowling unit

Harbhajan Singh has done well at the Chepauk and Dhoni will use him in a primary role. The veteran spinner will be joined by Purple Cap holder Kagiso Rabada and the in-form pacer Deepak Chahar. The bowling unit has a strong touch.

Predicted starting XI and possible winners

CSK predicted starting XI: Watson, Faf, Raina, Dhoni (captain and wicket-keeper), Jadhav, Bravo, Jadeja, Harbhajan, Tahir, Shardul and Chahar. DC predicted starting XI: Shaw, Dhawan, Iyer (captain), Ingram, Pant (wicket-keeper), Rutherford, Axar, Morris, Mishra, Ishant and Rabada. CSK will be dangerous at home. Meanwhile, DC have the momentum and can spring an upset here. We feel DC might get past CSK.
