Indian cricket fans roasted Shoaib Akhtar on social media platform Twitter after the former Pakistani fast bowler called himself the 'Don of Cricket'. Akhtar, who was one of the most lethal pacers ever produced by Men in Green, saw his tweet receive a negative response. Fans reminded him of the ICC World Cup 2003 match against India, when Sachin Tendulkar dominated him.
Don of cricket as they called me but never enjoyed hurting people but I must say when I was out there I just ran in for the love of my country for the people around the world .. pic.twitter.com/be84Y2yYl5— Shoaib Akhtar (@shoaib100mph) October 7, 2018
Shoaib was sent on a leather hunt in the 2003 World Cup fixture against Men in Blue as Sachin amassed a 75-ball 98. Known as the 'Rawalpindi Express', Shoaib, took more than 400 wickets in his international career. His battle with Sachin was always considered as an intense show.
