#GamingBytes: Fortnite's five best weapons for beginners

    What's the story

Fortnite by Epic Games is one of the most competitive Battle Royale games due to its ever-increasing popularity.

Naturally, beginners might find it intimidating and difficult to face more experienced Fortnite players in firefights. However, with the right choice of weapons, they have a good chance of surviving the encounters.

Here, we bring you the five best guns for Fortnite beginners.

    SCAR

All rounders are your best bet

Beginners should always opt for assault rifles as they are the best all rounder weapons in the game.

Adept across close, mid and long range battles, assault rifles are easy to handle and should be an integral part of the beginner's load-out.

We recommend the epic or legendary rarity assault rifle, which in-game, is a SCAR, for high stability, damage and rate of fire.

    Shotguns

Sometimes you need to get up close and personal

For beginners, aiming might be a problem, but that does not mean you have to miss out on how deadly and effective shotguns can be, at close quarter combats.

Pick up a tactical shotgun that can fire multiple rounds and switch to it, instead of using an assault rifle, for close range.

The higher fire rate should tear your opponents to shreds.

    Submachine guns

    Spray and pray newcomers

The uncommon submachine gun is a great choice for newcomers.

With a magazine capacity of 30 bullets and a short reload time, this gun is a killer in a medium range combat.

The quick reloading and higher ammo capacity ensure that even if all your shots do not initially land on target, you can come back to finish your opponent before they kill you.

    Rocket Launcher

Announce your entry in an explosive style

Normally we would recommend the Grenade Launcher in the explosives category since it can fire 6 grenades before needing to reload.

However, newcomers should opt for the Rocket Launcher, as grenades can be misfired to the newcomer's detriment.

Further, Rocket Launchers allow newcomers to fire from a distance and cause heavy damage before they rush in and finish off the injured opponents.

    Pistols

    Easy short range kills

Early in the game, newcomers should try to find the Tactical Shotgun, barring which, they should opt for Pistols.

The extremely rapid firing rate makes this weapon deadly in close range. However, be careful not to use them in mid or long range engagements, since bullet spread reduces accuracy.

Both the easy availability and quick firing make this an extremely popular early game weapon.
