Lewis Hamilton wins the Chinese Grand Prix

Exacting revenge for his season-opener defeat by Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton raced to victory at the Chinese Grand Prix, ahead of the German. The 3-time F1 World Champion who started on pole, beat Vettel by just over 6 seconds while Red Bull's Max Verstappen finished third. This was the fifth win for Hamilton in Shanghai and his first win of the 2017 F1-season.

Chinese Grand Prix is a F1 racing event held annually since 2004 at the Shanghai International Circuit. Lewis Hamilton holds the most number of wins at the tournament having won it previously in 2008, 2011, 2014, and 2015. He is the only driver to claim a treble of pole position, race victory, and fastest lap, at Chinese Grand Prix, when he won in 2008.

    The Max Verstappen masterclass

While Hamilton-Vettel dominated the race at Chinese Grand Prix, it was the 19-year-old Dutchman Max Verstappen who stole the show. Vestappen made a remarkable recovery from the 16th grid position. The Red Bull driver made the heads turn with his insane first lap where he overtook nine cars. He was voted the F1's "Driver of the Day".
