What's the story

Fortnite by Epic Games constantly adds new content to keep interest alive in its Battle Royale. As we reported, its recent Infinity Blade did not fare too well as it was too powerful, and Epic had to recall it. Now, a glitch has shown up where buildings are getting destroyed and gamers think it is related to the Infinity Blade. Read here.

Glitch severely hampering playing style, putting players at danger

Much to the concern of players, the structures in Fortnite are getting immediately destroyed due to a glitch in the game. It was first reported by Symfuhny, a Twitch steamer. Since buildings are an integral part of Fortnite's gameplay and is used to recuperate, or launch tactical attacks, this glitch is severely hampering playing style and putting players at considerable danger of dying in-game.

The streamer reported that he and his friend had built a quick structure in order to heal, but a large blue flash resembling an explosion began to destroy the ramps and walls of the structure quickly, putting the players at considerable risk.

The Infinity Blade and the destruction glitch might be related

As the instances of buildings getting destroyed mysteriously increased, some players also reported spotting the Infinity Blade in-game, post removal. This has given rise to the theory that the two bugs are interrelated. Some players have even gone so far as to suggest that the games in which the Infinity Blade appears, are the ones where the building glitch happens to take place.

Understandably gamers are concerned about the glitch, which is hampering the overall Battle Royale experience. Further with the new '14 days of Fortnite' limited time event starting, players want the game to be smooth now more than ever. While Epic has not yet responded to the issue, it is usually quick to address such glitches once the complaints come to its notice.
