The closest to a bad boy rockstar international cricket had, former South African cricketer Herschelle Gibbs's life had everything that makes a very intriguing movie. One of the most talented left-handers to ever play the game, he was as or even more talented as a fielder at the backward point. Gibbs made his international debut in an ODI against Kenya in 1996. He was 22 years at the time. The going got tough for Gibbs in the initial stages of his career, but there was no stopping him once he scored his first century in his 20th ODI. He went on to score 20 more centuries in ODIs, including the masterclass at Johannesberg, where he scored 175 runs of 111 balls while chasing Australia's 434. Gibbs's penchant for the spectacular was visible in his Test career as well. After making his debut in 1996, Gibbs's first century in the Test format came in the form of a double-hundred. For a team that had Jonty Rhodes, Gibbs never let his absence felt after Rhodes retired. The first player to hit six sixes in an over in ODIs, Gibbs last played for South Africa in 2010.
